About us
Lemitor Ochrona Środowiska Sp. z o.o. was established in the year 1990 by Renata and Zbigniew Lewiccy. It was initially known under the name of Lemitor Pracownia Ochrony Środowiska Renata i Zbigniew Lewiccy (Environmental Protection Study) and occupied one compartment in the attic of the house at 3 Czackiego Street. The first person on employment contract was Przemysław Iwanyszczuk, MSc Eng. employed in 1994, still working with us today. After two years another worker was employed - Grzegorz Krajewski, MSc Eng., Grzegorz is also working with us today. At that time the company was dealing exclusively with the measurements of emissions to the air and analyses in the scope of atmospheric protection.
The flood in the year 1997 contributed to moving the company and in 1998 we took the new premises at 19/2 Kochanowskiego St. We already had for our disposal 70 m2 of office area and 40 m2 of laboratory area. In 1998 Jarosław Kołodziejczyk, Eng. has commenced work for us, significantly supporting our emission measurement department.
A year earlier we have also employed Arkadiusz Kruk, MSc Eng., who after working 8 years, quit due to personal reasons and moved to another region of Poland. After moving to Kochanowskiego Street we were developing the laboratory and we were employing new workers, not only with the specialty on atmosphere protection. Ewa Juchnowska PhD – biologist and Barbara Zielonka PhD Eng. – chemist (current technical manager of Testing Laboratory) are further people, who joined our company and remain here until today.
The company has also started preparing reports on the environmental protection, works in the scope of water and waste water management and wastes management.
In 2001 we won tender for conducting noise measurements at A4 motorway. Since that time we have supply developed our activity in measurement and studies in the scope of noise. In 2003 we employed Marcin Duś Eng. (present acoustics team manager).
Company’s development has forced us to move to another premises (our current seat) at 40 Jana Długosza Street.
In 2004 we start introducing ISO 9001 quality system and we divide the company into two main departments – Project Study and Measurement Study. The first one already offers preparing the reports, statements of environmental impacts, motions for issuing integrated permit, district and commune environmental protection programs, wastes management programs for districts and communes and other.
We use European Union subsidies while equipping Laboratory. We expand the scope of analyses as a result of purchasing the new equipment.New workers arrive in the laboratory.
In the year 2007 we have changed the company’s organization and two main units have been created, operating to this day: Consulting Study and Testing Laboratory. We have undertaken attempts to obtain accreditation for our Testing Laboratory, terminated in May 2008 by obtaining the accreditation certificate no AB 912.
We are currently forming harmonious team of 30 specialists, which can undertake almost any task in the scope of testing, analysis and consulting in environmental protection.
