Another important stage in the process of building the INTEL plant in the municipality of Miękinia dedicated to assembling and testing semiconductors. The decision concerning environmental conditions of implementing the project became final! We are glad to have played a key role in that achievement!

The environmental decision

In 2023 LEMITOR started working with INTEL as a comprehensive environmental support for the entire investment process. Since the beginning of this process LEMITOR has been the representative and the main advisor in terms of environmental protection. In order to obtain the decision, a process has been carried out, in which LEMITOR was responsible for completing essential environmental documentation. Due to the investment’s potential impact on the environment, a report on the environmental impact of the project was prepared. Each process of preparing the documentation required to apply for the environmental decision is challenging and demands constant and efficient communication between teams working on a project. In the case of the discussed investment the work dynamics and the scale of the project made it particularly demanding.

The environmental decision is the crowning achievement of the process of assessing the environmental impact. It specifies the conditions that the investor has to fulfil during implementation and further exploitation, so that it’s impact on the surrounding area is minimal. It is the basis for applying for the construction permit.

INTEL investment in Poland

INTEL company is the world leader in the field of manufacturing microprocessors – central processing units (CPUs). Microprocessors are integrated electronic circuits built on silicon wafers. They are used in a wide range of products such as computers, laptops, servers and other electronic devices. The site in the municipality of Miękinia near Wrocław is dedicated to assembling and testing semiconductors. Along with other European INTEL plants situated in Ireland (Leixlip) and Germany (newly built in Magdeburg), the site near Wrocław will complement the European system increasing INTEL’s manufacturing possibilities.
